Your rights in care

You have the right to dignity, respect, privacy, clear communication, and support to make decisions about your care. You can raise concerns without fear of punishment or poorer treatment.

Advocacy support

You can ask for support from a family member, supporter, or independent advocate. You can contact OPAN on 1800 700 600 for free aged care advocacy support.

How to Raise a Concern

We welcome feedback and complaints and will respond fairly and promptly.

    Our response

    We review concerns in a rights-based way, keep records, and work with you on a practical resolution. If there is immediate safety risk, we act urgently.
